Body needs 6 to 7 hours to digest food and absorb calories completely.
Body needs some amount of calories to live which is stored in the muscles (in the form of
glycogen), and those extra calories you’ve eaten will get converted into fat within 6 to 7 hours.
While doing cardio first you burn calories which is present in you muscles (glycogen) than, simultaneously you burn fat if you’re doing it with low or moderate intensity (in aerobic zone) but in a very less amount.
After doing 50 - 60 mins of cardio, your muscle glycogen gets over and your body started depleting fats (which were created last night) and muscles convert it into energy for further exercise or activity.
You will regain those expended calories by just consuming an additional 200 calories just in a meal, and you’ll need to burn 7700 calories to lose 1 kg of fat.
So, before you eat think twice!
